Hi, I’m Bailee.

I have written, deleted, and walked away from this particular writing for months. I have found extreme discomfort and frustration in trying to write about myself.

In the development of A Realistic Idealist, I wanted to share with you a bit about myself in an attempt to give life to the words you might read on my page. But I realized the flaw in my thinking: the words I write are already full of life because of the passion in which inspires them.

And so, what I thought would be a piece where I share parts of me with you, instead is this short, rather lackluster piece of writing. And oddly enough, this feels more right than the wordsmithed-lengthy-drafts I have stared at and manipulated for the past few months.

All I really want to say to you, my reader, is hi and thank you for engaging with my writing. This is the start of my “passion project” as people like to call it, and I hope you enjoy reading my work as much as I enjoy writing it.
